On Ravelry

Just in time for Christmas Eve I finished the first two of these little sweater ornaments. Our christmas tree is always decorated with a melee of stuff and there are already knitted christmas balls and little christmas hearts so it felt right for more knitwear.

I first saw one of these little sweaters on SoVeryShannon's blog and really liked the idea. Since she knit without a pattern I went looking for one on Ravelry. The one I liked best was this cute little top down sweater which has everything a real sweater needs just on a very small scale.

They only take about two hours from start to finish and they look great on our christmas tree. The last one which I knit today will go to my mother-in-law tomorrow.

We celebrated christmas at my place yesterday. I was rather apprehensive about the event because as some of you know my grandmother passed away less than two weeks ago and it's been quite an intense time. This was the first christmas in all my life that I celebrated without her. We missed her and we talked about her but we are also very much aware that her final wish was granted because she just didn't want to go on anymore. I am glad that we got together and that there were good moments as well, because that's what was most important to her.

    1. She is in my thoughts a lot but I try to take comfort in knowing that this was her biggest wish.
